Event Specialist
Lisa Price has been actively involved in the venue and event industries for a long long time. After working for two years with BASS Victoria (now Ticketmaster), Lisa took up a role at the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC), stadium manager of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
During her time at the MCG, Lisa was at the forefront of managing events at the venue including up to 50 games of Australian Rules Football (AFL) annually, AFL Grand Finals, International Cricket (Test matches, one-day Internationals and T20 matches), two Cricket World Cups (1992 & 2015), Soccer World Cup Qualifiers, Bledisloe Cup Rugby Union, State of Origin Rugby League and numerous concerts. In 2005, Lisa led the venue team in its liaison with M2006 for the delivery of the MCG as the main stadium for the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
Her career highlights include organising the World Cricket Tsunami Appeal match in January 2005, arranged from start to finish in just 10 days, the Sound Relief Concert in March 2009 to aid the Victorian Bushfire victims and more recently the moment 95,000 fans sang “You’ll Never Walk Alone” prior to the English Premier League giants Liverpool v Melbourne Victory in 2014.
Lisa was with the Melbourne Cricket Club for 24 years in a number of roles the most recent being Event Operations Manager, chiefly responsible for major event planning and delivery of event operations.
In 2016 Lisa founded Event Operations Australia, an organisation focused on supporting venue and event managers navigate through everyday challenges and finding opportunities to deliver great outcomes to stakeholders and brilliant experiences for customers.
Recently Lisa has been was working at Melbourne and Olympic Parks for the 2019, 2020, 2021 Australian Opens, other event highlights include being Head of Operations for White Night Melbourne and White Night Ballarat. An all night artistic festival that takes over the streets and parks of Melbourne was attended by 600,000 people over the 12 hour event. In Ballarat, attendances were doubled from the 2017 event attracting 60,000 people to the event.
Currently Lisa is the General Manager, THE LUME Melbourne.
Lisa graduated from the PVMS in 2000 and was the recipient of the Ogden IFC scholarship for that year. Lisa has a certificate IV in training and assessment, a business degree in tourism management and a masters degree in Event Management from Victoria University. Currently delivering a Diploma of Event Management for Greenwich College, Lisa is also an accredited venue manager and certified venue executive.
